TRANSFORMATION COMMUNICATIONS
15 Aug 2024
As outlined in the 24 July 2024 Transformation Communications update, the closure of the Jackpot Room and the relocation of the Reading Room were critical steps in facilitating the expansion of Oasis@Padang. Upon the completion of Phase 2, operations from the Barker Lounge and Tessensohn Room will transition to the newly expanded space, allowing the Club to move forward with the next stage-the construction of the Chinese restaurant.
Following the transformation update issued on 24 July 2024, Singapore Recreation Club (SRC) is pleased to present the latest developments in the ongoing transformation of its facilities:
Chilled Water Retrofit Project: The Chilled Water Retrofit Project, first highlighted in the July update, is now complete. The newly installed chillers and cooling towers have been operational since late July 2024, significantly enhancing energy efficiency across the Club.
Passenger Lift No. 2 Upgrade: The upgrade of Passenger Lift No. 2, also highlighted in the previous communication, is now in its final stages. The lift is expected to be fully operational by early September 2024, in time for the highly anticipated Circuit Lounge @ Padang event.
Oasis Phase 2 Expansion: As reported earlier, Phase 2 of the Oasis@Padang expansion is progressing as planned. The expanded space will be available for use during the Circuit Lounge @ Padang event, providing enhanced facilities for members.
New Chinese Restaurant: The construction of the new Chinese restaurant, which is a key element of SRC's long-term transformation plan, is moving forward. The tendering process is currently underway, with construction set to begin in Q4 2024. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, members can look forward to the restaurant's grand opening, which will introduce a premier dining experience by Lunar New Year's Eve 2025.
SRC remains focused on ensuring that disruptions during this transformation period are minimised, and greatly appreciates the continued support and patience of its members.
Sincerely,
Management of the Singapore Recreation Club
